This program seems to be just what the city needed. It shows the departments wherewithall to reach out to those families and students who sometimes  have little understanding of the knowledge, educational preparation and physical demands to become a first class fireman, and therefore, provide a huge window of opportunity for future cadets directly from the program.

It is also a time to thank those who had the vision to put the program in place.
